Parking
There is a large free parking lot located at the park. Upon entering follow the road to the left. Parking is available on a first come, first serve basis.
Directions
From North of Boston:
- Take 93 South
- Take exit 18 for MA-3 N toward MA-28 S
- Continue onto MA-28 S (signs for Storrow Drive W)
- Continue onto Storrow Dr for 2.0 miles
- Continue onto Soldiers Field Rd for 2.7 miles
- Turn right at entrance to park before Everett St
From South of Boston:
- Take I-93 N/US-1 N
- Use the right 2 lanes to take exit 16 toward Worcester/S.Station
- Keep right, follow signs for I-90 W/Worcester and merge onto I-90 W
- Take exit 131 toward Brighton/Cambridge
- Keep right to continue toward Cambridge St
- Keep right at the fork, follow signs for Cambridge/Somerville and merge onto Cambridge St
- Turn left onto Soldiers Field Rd
- Use any lane to take the ramp to Newton/Arlington.
- Merge onto Soldier's Field Rd and follow for 1.5 miles
-Turn right at entrance to park before Everett St
Public Transportation:
There is not T stops close to the park, however there are bus stops that are within walking distance.
Bus:
From Chestnut Hill
- Take the 86 bus toward Sullivan
- Exit bus at Western Ave @ Everett St Stop
- Head west on Western Ave toward Telford St
- Turn right onto Telford St
- Turn right onto MSGR Timothy Gleason Memorial Overpass
- Follow the overpass, which will lead you to the Artesani Playground at bottom of the parking lot.
- Follow the main path left and then right till you reach the opposite end of the parking lot and see signs for Charles River Jazz Festival.
Red Line:
- Take the Red Line to Central Square.
- Walk to the corner of Green St and Magazine St and get on the 70 bus toward Waltham Center.
- Ride 10 stops to 367 Western Ave opposite Brighton Mills Mall
- Head east on Western Ave toward Telford St
- Turn left onto Telford St
- Turn right onto MSGR Timothy Gleason Memorial Overpass
- Follow the overpass, which will lead you to the Artesani Playground at bottom of the parking lot.
- Follow the main path left and then right till you reach the opposite end of the parking lot and see signs for Charles River Jazz Festival.
